Barnacle Coral Porcelain Sculpture Collection

This piece was inspired by the forms and textures of barnacle coral. It is designed to sit happily on its own or as a grouping with others in the collection.

I create each ceramic art piece through a slow process of hand sculpting, slip casting and a variety of textural finishing techniques. My working process is largely intuitive as I experiment with and learn from the beautifully smooth porcelain clay. Additions of hand dyed natural fibres highlight a contrast between the hard clay and soft textile details, making each piece completely unique.

Like the ripples in each ocean tide, no two pieces are the same.
